i couldn't bring myself to get outta bed this morning.. way too cold to ride in. since i've started cummuting to work again the temperature in the am has sucked. i don't mind riding in anything above 30 but that's were i draw the line. i know that 27 is only a few degrees.. but just the thought of riding in the 20's makes my bones freeze. mind over matter i guess : )

i also stayed up trying to read my srm manual.. although i'm not sure i have the english version. i haven't used a computer on my bike over the past couple of years so this thing is way over my head right now. it looks like it could be benificial due to the fact i have limited training time but i guess only time will tell..

out for now..

i know.. i know.. it's about time. i'm probably the worst blogger in history.. well, besides kerkhof. lots has happened in the past month. christmas, new years, my mom turned 60, took baby girl to disney world, got a rad new scott bike, and much, much more..

i'll keep it pretty brief cause mama b is sick in bed and i'm playing mr. mom. we're watching yo gaba gaba right now.. for those of you with kids who haven't seen it, check it out.. it's pretty dang cool.

1 month synopsis..

christmas was awesome as usual.. girls were super spoiled. new years was pretty uneventful.. woke up early and rode reades palo pinto ride. ella and i were going to surprise my mom for her birthday but el came down with the flu and was running a 106.3 fever.. needless to say, we didn't make it to kansas. the following week lena started her new job and her first conference was in orlando.. i decided to surprise ella and take her to disney world unannounced : )

here's how it went down.

i took lena to the airport on friday morning early and when i got home i woke ella up telling her to "pack a bag, i have a BIG surprise!". we hopped on a plane at 10am and were on our way.. i thought it would be best not to tell her where we were going until we arrived at the airport. when we landed i asked here if she could go anywhere in the world, where would she like to go. she answered, "the beach".. uhhh, other than the beach.. "disney world?".. bingo.

it was spectacular.. we where at the park for two full days and were able to hit all the attractions we wanted to.. including meeting arial!

NOTE: this is ella's shy face.

if you haven't been to disney, the key is to chalk up your first day as a "learning" expierence.. to figure out the flow and how things work. after you jump that hurdle, it's awn. ella and i tore the parks up on day two and accomplished three times what we did on day one. a couple pics..

check out the shirt..
