quick note.. wilk is the man. not only is he a kick ass triathlete (kind of gay but...) he's a super dad as well. congrats to aven wilk (sp?) for taking her first <10 year old win (she's only 6!) this past weekend!!! colonels represented again tonight taking a powerful 1-2 punch in the "a" race. wilk seemed like the only candidate who could pull the upset off but came up a little short in the end. crozzy took the v with i taking a close second. i forgot how much fun the tuesday niter is! long live the hippstar.. off to bed.. surFy

i know it's been a while but i've been super busy with work.. and sick. since i've been back from brazil i've felt like sheit. i think i had some type of upper respiratory infection that spread to my lungs. i'm going to the doctor today to have it checked out. not much else has been happening. i've been trying to ride my bike as much as possible.. spending some time out on the road with colonel's newest recruit, kolt bates. that dude is freaking strong.. he's a great addition to the team. i was heading out to tyler this weekend but after spending another night up coughing i might bag it and try and rest. i dunno.. we'll see. i was really looking forward to racing with my bud, tim cook. in fact.. i think he's going to be a real force in the 30+ race : ) i think i'm going to try and lay back down for an hour or so.. then it's off to work. surFy

happy independence day. is it ever gonna stop raining?? come on! this sux. i've only been able to ride my trainer since i've been back.. and i hate the trainer. oh well.. i don't think i'm gonna race this weekend anyway. i still fell like i have a little bit of a cold. i'll see how i feel on friday and decide then. my neighbor (601) asked me to help him build a deck in back of his pool. i've never built one before but i didn't think it would be too tough. it's pretty basic.. 12 x 12 and about 16" off the ground. so far things have gone pretty smoothly.. we set the posts on sunday and then built the base and the joists in the rain yesterday.. no wonder i'm still sick. we had a little problem squaring the frame but quickly resolved it with some creative engineering. i hope to have it wrapped up by friday. maybe i'll hop on the trainer for a little while now.. surFY
